Sheffield basement pop band Best Friends have dropped the video for their new track "Fake Spit".
The song takes influence from 1987's rom-com fantasy ‘Mannequin’ to ponder the old age question "If ignorance is bliss, is knowledge pain?", and will be available soon on 7" single.
It is taken from their forthcoming debut album, 'Hot. Reckless. Totally Insane.', which will be out in May through FatCat Records.
The video sees the band burst into life and use up all their pent up energy before deciding that they were better off living as mannequins. It's like Socrates once famously said "I would rather be a sad philosopher than a happy mannequin" – what a towel bouncer!
It was Directed by band member Ed Crisp, who also directed the previous clips for "Shred Til You're Dead" and "Happy Anniversary".
