The Horrors have confirmed they will release their new studio album in September.
The upcoming as-yet-untitled new album, will be The Horrors' fourth LP and the follow up to 2011's Skying.
Talking about the recording process, bassist Tom Cowan: "It’s going really well, we’re most of the way there in terms of getting the songs together. And we’ve got a month more or so of writing and then we’re gonna go on tour, we’re aiming to be finished in September. The album’s going to be out in September."
When asked how the new tracks were sounding, Cowan added: "Its different. But I don’t really wanna say anything because people will get the wrong idea. But it is different and it’s possibly our best album yet. But that’s always a matter of opinion, I guess."
Meanwhile, The Horrors have already announced a number of festival appearances for this summer including a headline slot at Truck Festival, plus appearances at Green Man and Manchester's Parklife.
