His Clancyness Announce New Album 'Isolation Culture', Drop Title Track

Bologna/Ottawa-based indie rock/glam band His Clancyness (lead by Jonathan Clancy, frontman of A Classic Education) have announced the release of their sophomore album 'Isolation Culture'.

The follow-to debut LP 'Vicious', will be out on October 14th 2016 via Hand Drawn Dracula, Tannen Records & Maple Death Records.

Alone, together. It’s not a new state by any means but it so perfectly defines our life that it’s hard not to think of it as a modern concept. At no other time has it been easier to be a part of a working civilization at arms length, on your own terms. Constant data mining and the omnipresent ad in the room provide zero shelter from any connection to “the outside” without sponsored content. No one could have predicted that connecting the world to itself would make it more insular. It’s easier than ever to know what’s happening at all times everywhere but even harder to know what people are actually thinking – literally Isolation Culture. His Clancyness take this idea and turn it over across the 12 songs that make up their second full length.

Watch: His Clancyness Releases New Video For "Miss Out These Days"

Bologna-based musician His Clancyness (aka Jonathan Clancy, frontman of A Classic Education) has released the video clip for "Miss Out These Days", off his debut album 'Vicious', released back in October via Fat Cat Records.  

About the song, Clancy explains: "This is a song about deciding to step out of the rotation, leave everything behind, block the screens out and close your eyes for a second."

The animated video was directed by Anna Deflorian, who, together with Michele Bernardi, adapted the unstable, funny, mean and vicious characters of her comic book "Roghi" to the video.

Watch: His Clancyness Releases "Zenith Diamond" Music Video

Bologna-based musician His Clancyness (aka Jonathan Clancy, frontman of A Classic Education) has released the video clip for "Zenith Diamond", taken from his forthcoming album 'Vicious', which will be out on October 7th UK via Fat Cat Records, October 8th US. 

The film was shot in the heart of Bologna in the Arena Orfeonica, a true special and magical place, and was directed by Pietro Borzì ( Less tv) and our Giulia Mazza. About the video Clancy says, he wanted the clip to capture the more blurry moments following a night of drinking, when you've lost track of time and space and entered the dream. 

The track is about “feeling special even if you’ve been knocked down, you’re still a diamond in the rough and deserve a dream. Zenith’ is the nervous baby of the album, a fast lone wolf that doesn't have a chance to breathe.”
