The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their sophomore album 'The Second Principle', released in April this year via Yalta. Get your copy here.
The record, produced by MNNQNS, is a deeper trip in the band adventures through pop music at its finest : from historical songwriting memories, underground fields from krautrock and indus, and post-punk fastness. The influences are: thermodynamics, space, Lovecraft and the retrofuturistic soundtracks of Nine Inch Nails.
“At the time of the first album, we were obsessed with the idea of taking the best song in the world and screwing it up. We have since freed ourselves from the shackles of style and this has allowed us to make music that now belongs to us much more”.
Here is the spontaneous reaction of Adrian, founder and leader of the MNNQNS, when asked what would be the clear message to take away after listening to The Second Principle, and whose name echoes the stage that is a second album than to the second principle of thermodynamics, which defines the conditions for transforming the energy of the world.
