Newcastle indie rock/alt band Swine Tax have unleashed visuals for their new single "Relax".
After witnessing the band perform an intense live set in Sunderland last year, Barry Hyde (The Futureheads) approached Swine Tax to produce their music in the studio. ‘Relax’ is the first track to emerge from these fruitful recording sessions - one that sees the band further sharpen their agitated, hook-driven sound. Propelled by a throbbing bass groove and a heavy punk beat, ‘Relax’ details the heady excitement of a night on the town.
Speaking on the single, the band said: “Relax is an ode to Newcastle’s primal club scene. It’s like a warped dance track, combining a speaker-shaking beat with a bittersweet pop chorus. It’s the intoxicated internal monologue of a big night out - the dancing, flirting, chest-crushing bass, rushes of blood, heightened senses, cutting loose and coming undone.”
