Produced by Jon Moon (Amy Winehouse, Example, Faithless), the new EP will be out on April 4th, and features three flirtatious garage rock 'n roll masterpiece, echoing clear influences from The Cramps, Billy Idol and The White Stripes, alongside contemporaries Band of Skulls, Vivian Girls, WAVVES and F.U.R.S.
Lead track "(Bye Bye) Baby Don’t Go" is a rooted and ailing tune, with Jimmy Sweet’s trademark crooning and impure charm supplemented by heavy guitar and alluring female harmonies. A genre-crossing sound of forlorn goth-pop with a hint of blues and a whole lot of rock, the video was produced by Belka Films, and features the band members’ mournful goodbyes, in a homage to Andy Warhol’s black and white screen tests.
"Alone Again" is more upbeat, with melodic vocals and addictive hooks, while "Baby Blue" is a slow, rattled track with angry tidings and the distinctive lo-fi crescendos and retro vocals of classic Death By Sexy.
