London psych-pop band Younghusband have unveiled the video for their latest single "Left Of The Rocks", off their debut album 'Dromes' which was released back in September via Sonic Cathedral.
The song is part of our current playlist and will be released as a single on February 17, backed with two brand new recordings: a slow, menacing cover of John Cale's 'Gun', originally found on the ex-Velvet Underground man's 1974 solo album ‘Fear’, and a live in the studio version of the title track. Order the single here.
About the track, frontman Euan Hinshelwood says: "'Left Of The Rocks' is loosely about a love triangle gone wrong, and never being able to get away from it. We had a few versions, but with [album producer] Nicolas Vernhes' help we simplified it down to its most important elements. We had The Fall in mind, 'Bend Sinister' era. There is obviously a krautrock influence, too, but that's more apparent live. There’s still a pop song at its core."
The VHS-inspired video was directed by Rebecca Salvadori. Take a look below.
