Delphic's Rick Boardman commented on the lack of financial resources in today's music industry stopping great bands from reaching true potential.
"The lack of money in the music industry means that there's no room for bands to experiment and there's no room for bands not play it safe. I find it so difficult to hear great music coming out, because everyone's just trying to stay alive," said Rick Boardman in an recent interview.
The band feel that due to a lack of money in today’s climate there will never be legends such as Blur and The Smiths again, as record labels don’t have the funds and capabilities to allow their bands to grow.
"Will we ever hear another Smiths again? I don't know," Boardman continues. "Will a band like Blur, who had to wait for their third album to get a hit record, ever be allowed space to breath and grow? Probably not."
The Manchester trio are working on their new album and are in no hurry to release putting as much time and effort into it as possible.
