New Entry: Saloon Dion Share New Single "VHS"

Bristol avant garde/post punk/alt band Saloon Dion have released the video for their new single "VHS".

TAlking about it, guitarist and vocalist Taryn McDonnell says that “lyrically, it was inspired by a scene in ‘Better Call Saul’ where Kim [Saul’s girlfriend] is flicking through a swanky spa/hotel brochure, raises her eyebrows and says something like, ‘You know what, Saul? I am luxurious yet casual.’ The quote seemed like a fitting symbol for the absurdity of advertising and the methods used by a company to sell their product as an extension of ‘you’. The rest of the lyrics are the monologue of a character who is essentially a representation of all these corporations, their advertising methods and capitalism itself.”

Watch: The Violent Hearts Drop "Everything and Nothing" Music Video

Bristol post punk/indie rock band The Violent Hearts have dropped the video for their latest single "Everything and Nothing".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their upcoming debut album 'Everything and Nothing', which will be available on September 3. Get it  here.

The Violent Hearts put a distinctive spin on the classic punk influences that formed their musical DNA. Surfing a wave of thundering drums, rumbling basslines and stabs of stormy guitar all unpinned by intoxicatingly rich vocals, The Violent Hearts post-punk groove swings with such confident swagger, you would think the band were seasoned veterans, not relave newcomers.
