Cardiff indie rock/psych band Red Telephone have unleashed their new single "All I Really Want".
This is the final track of a trio of apoco-literature inspired releases from theband’s upcoming debut album which combines the influence of dark seventies, synth-led soundscapes with the arresting, driving rhythms of eighties synth-pop. Get it here.
Of the song, singer Declan says, 'All I Really Want' deals with the desire and struggle to return to a previous state of mind after a mental breakdown. Sound wise, the aim was to combine dark and filmic synth-led soundscapes in the vein of 'Drive' and 'Blade Runner' with disco rhythms”.
Of their evocative band name he adds, “The name Red Telephone was influenced by a song of the same name by ‘Love’, on their album ‘Forever Changes’, as well as the dystopian imagery of the infamous Cold War hotline.”
