Brighton indie punk 7-piece KEG have unleashed their new single "Kids" and its accompanying music video.
The song is taken from their forthcoming second EP 'Girders', set to be released on September 2 through Alcopop! Records. Grab your copy here.
'Kids' strides into the deep lineage of British art-punk songwriting that is both self-referencing and outward-facing - while being consistently innovative. Few singles manage to take aim at both the restaurant chain Itsu and the comedian Michael McIntyre, but KEG somehow pull it off. The video doubles down on that sense of fun with the band toying with a genuine joie de vivre rarely seen with new artists.
KEG words: "I've always had a great relationship with my mum, but there were occasional times where I remember her saying ‘I love you loads, I just don't like you very much at the moment’. What if your kids grew up the complete opposite of you? What if they like Michael Macintyre and will only eat health foods?".
