Them Swoops are an indie-pop duo from Melbourne, Australia formed by Dave McGann and Chris Goff in early 2012. They began as a studio project and their first recording session resulted in an early version of "Work Around It".
"Work Around It" had its official release in October 2012 and in 3 months has achieved over 50,000 spins across YouTube and Soundcloud, and sold over 5,000 singles in the USA and Australia. The single earned the band acclaim, domestic popularity, a host of support gigs and culminated with their own headline shows toward the end of last year.
They have supported the likes of The Maccabees, Ball Park Music, The Rubens and San Cisco, toured the east coast as part of the Triple Treat Tour and then capped off the year selling out their debut headline show at The Workers Club.
The band's second single "Too Fast For Love", an 'upbeat pop song for a lovesick lovers' in their own words, was released in February 12 through +1 Records and is taken from their forthcoming debut EP 'Glimmers'.
