Los Angeles indie rock/pop band Gardens & Villa have announced the release of their fourth studio album 'Gordon Von Zilla Presents'.

The band have also shared the video for the single, Chris Lynch had this to say about the making of the video: "Releasing 'Disco Kitchen' during the quarantine is a coincidental match! We knew we couldn’t have a cast, so we had to become all the characters just the two of us. The video is the result of 5 nights of shooting and editing, when cooking in the kitchen became the new nightclub. When you live with someone in isolation night after night, the mundane becomes extravagant if you add some spice to the soup. The dormant fringes of our personalities came to life. At the end of the video the characters feed each other. A symbol for sharing simple joys with our friends and humanity. In time of global chaos, this remain the simplest care we all need to relate to."

Uninhibited by the limitations of two people and continuing their mission of “minimal means maximum effect,” The Vacant Lots’ Jared Artaud and Brian MacFadyen create an industrial amalgam of icy electronics and cold beats with detached vocals and hard hitting guitars..
The album creates order from chaos and delves into escapism, isolation, relationship conflicts, and decay. With nods to William S. Burroughs and Joy Division’s song of the same name, “Interzone is like existing between two zones,” Jared says. “Interzone doesn't mean one thing. It can mean different things to different people depending on their interpretation. Working on this album was a constant struggle reconciling internal conflicts with all that’s going on externally in the world. Interzone, in one word, is duality."
On Interzone, the band produced the 8 songs, 30 minutes record and teamed up with long term collaborators Ivan Liechti who designed the album artwork, and Ted Young who engineered the record. Maurizio Baggio mixed the record and contributed additional production and it was mastered by Gianni Peri.

Keith- “So, let's cut a long story short. We cut this track well over a year ago in L.A. for part of a new album, an ongoing thing, and then shit hit the fan Mick and I decided this one really needed to go to work right now and so here you have it , "Living in a Ghost Town". Stay safe!”

The band's words: "This is a track that has been about 5 years in the making. My oldest friend from childhood Alan Henderson Jnr had a studio down at the Hidden Lane. We used to record at a different studio in the same lane and whenever I had finished for the night I always knew he’d still be in. He played me loads of different instrumental stuff he’d been working on but I remember one late night when he first played me a piece simply called “NOW”. I thought it was brilliant and asked him there and then if I could record a vocal for it. For one reason or another we never got round to it and the years (and years) went by and he moved out of the studio and all the way to Spain. Eventually, one day I get an email with a file attached so big it nearly broke my computer, and it was the track I had asked him for all those years ago. I had assumed that it had been lost in transit during his various moves between countries. But luckily it hadn’t. So I took it in to the band, we added some synths, some real drums, some real bass, and of course the vocal, but we retained the original African blues tinged vibe that Hendy had originally. Much of that percussion and instrumentation is exactly the same. Thankfully, Gordon McNeil managed to bring it all together so well for us in the mix."

“Capulet Loves Montague tells the tale of heartbreak and woe. How two people can fall in love but ultimately will be their undoing.” says frontman Mychael. “Lyrically, “Capulet Loves Montague” came to life while my 11-year young best friend and I were fooling around with crayons on a rainy evening. Perhaps it was the colors that made it clear, a nursery rhyme was being created. A feeling of innocence came over me when the words “Christmas trees are frozen spiders, Cats are made from snow, terrified by what I think of, petrified in love” were written. I’m obsessed with silliness, which is often mistaken for my sadness, especially when it comes to storytelling.” He adds.

New Entry: Pin Ups Unveil "Turning Japanese" (The Vapors Cover)
From the band's JB: "This is a cover of the absolute banger ’Turning Japanese’ by The Vapors that we recorded in 2018 with our boy Scott Docherty at his private studio near Finsbury Park, North London. We’d finished up recording ‘Do You Hate Yourself Yet?’ and decided to smash this one out whilst the gear was still out and we were still all juiced up. The idea was to catch it as lively as possible so I think we set a maximum of three takes, and Scott put on these flashy lights and danced about to conjure up some weirdness. He's the master. We overdubbed the vocals over a huge bag of cans later that evening and what you get it is a weird, lively version of an already weird, lively song."
