Melbourne indie rock/post-punk trio Primo! have released the video for their new single "Mirage".
The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their upcoming debut album 'Amici', out July 13th through Upset The Rhythm. Pre-order your copy here.
Primo are Xanthe Waite (also of Terry), Violetta DelConte Race (also of The Shifters) and Suzanne Walker (also of amazing film projects). As a trio from Melbourne writing up-tempo, terse chorus and verse, Primo make use of two guitars, drums, sound effects and a group vocal sensibility to ornament their enquiries into deconstructed post-punk. Their songs chime and charm, sounding at times bountiful, at others brittle, always buoyant with attention to detail.

Montreal-based post punk/art punk trio Lonely Parade have announced the release of their new full-length album 'The Pits'.
The 10-track record will be out on September 14th via Buzz Records and "embodies an irrepressible spirit of self-discovery, both in its constantly probing and inventive construction, and in its subject matter, which concerns the collapse of the band member’s place in the small-town where they grew up."
The band have also aired the video for their new single "Night Cruise", frontwoman August Veno explains: "This song is about this boy I met, started cruising around with, and thought we were in love. We would just drive around every corner of Peterborough. I wanted us to drive forever because I had a crush on him and didn’t want to go home."

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Jack Tatum aka Wild Nothing has announced the release of his new album titled 'Indigo'.
Tatum's fourth studio album and follow-up to 2016’s ‘Life Of Pause’, will be out on August 31 via Captured Tracks. According to the press release, on one hand, Indigo is a return to the fresh, transcendent sweep of his debut, 2010’s Gemini, and on the other, a culmination of heights reached, paths traveled, and lessons learned while creating the follow-ups, Nocturne and Life of Pause. Indigo finds Tatum at his most efficient, calculated, and confident—resulting in an artful blend of hi-fi humanity and technology that fires on all circuits and synapses.
Jack explains of the album: “I wanted it to sound like a classic studio record, as close as I could get it there. It just boils down to me wanting to fit into some larger narrative, musically, in terms of these artists I love. I think about how my music will age. Ideas of ‘timeless’ are going to be different—so if Indigo is not timeless then it’s at least ‘out of time.’”
