Watch: Fontaines D.C. Unleash "Roman Holiday" Music Video

Dublin rock n' roll band Fontaines D.C. have unleashed the video for their latest single "Roman Holiday".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their third studio album 'Skinty Fia', which came out in April through Partisan Records. Grab your copy here.

Speaking about it, Grian Chatten says: “Roman Holiday makes me think of the wide streets of north London in the Summer and the urge to discover them at night time. The thrill of being a gang of Irish people in London with a bit of a secret language and my first flat with my girlfriend.”

Tim Burgess Announces New Double LP 'Typical Music', Shares Title Track

Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) has announced the release of his new double album 'Typical Music'.

The the follow-up to 2020's I Love The New Sky, set to arrive out 23rd of September via Bella Union, sees Burgess stretching out in a couple of ways. Firstly, it’s a double album containing twenty-two tracks. Pre-order your copy here.

The range of influences spans the musical alphabet from Abba to Zappa. The catchy first single ‘Here Comes The Weekend’ seems to nod in the direction of Alex Chilton’s solo output. Features a guest appearance by Pearl Charles. May or may not contain the future classic 'Hair Like Boris Johnson Blues'.

Over the course of the first year of the pandemic, Tim’s Twitter Listening Parties were a lifeline to many. At a time when the world shut down, we all retreated indoors, alone, and cancelled gigs were the least of our worries, the North Country Boy’s idea of utilising social media to unite us round a digital turntable was inspired.

Meanwhile, Burgess was writing. And writing. And writing. From September 2020 to summer 2021, ideas poured out of Burgess. He’d been encouraged by Simon Raymonde, boss of his record label Bella Union ¬– and, of course, a former Cocteau Twin. He applied a musician’s logic: if you can’t tour your last album, write a new one. Then, when you can tour again, you’ll have two albums’ worth of songs to play.

Watch: H.L.M. Unveil New Single/Video "Architecture Compliquée"

Berlin-based French duo H.L.M. - an abbreviation of Haute Levitation Mutee - have unveiled the video for their new single "Architecture Compliquée".

The duo composed by long time friends Guillaume Laidain & Andrew Claristidge, made their debut last month on the latest in Ombra International's V/A series. Hot on the heels of the release, the pair now release their first official single. Recorded between Bordeaux and Berlin over the course of lockdown and periods of isolation, the track "tells the story of the architecture of a complex brain, the process of construction immediately followed by destruction" and is backed up by two remixes from the Ombra boss himself, Curses.

Could you erase the thoughts that had clogged your brain for as long as you could remember? Could you start afresh with no memories, no identity, no idea of where you'd been or gone? The mind had been on a path to destruction for what seemed like an eternity, it was only a matter of time before the pendulum swung the other way. Maybe beginning with an empty vessel wouldn't be all that bad, maybe it would be a chance to do things over, to write the wrongs that had long plagued your existence.

Watch: EKKSTACY Shares "I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING" Music Video

Vancouver.BC indie/alt artist EKKSTACY has shared the video for his newest single "I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING".

His first new musical offering of 2022 ignites an exciting new chapter for the young artist, expanding the sound he first unveiled with his debut album NEGATIVE last year, where he drew upbeat influence from his contemporary indie pop heroes and flecks of mid-80’s British indie rock, while also imbuing the darker, introspective songwriting of early 2000’s alternative and emo-rock. “I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING” is a thrashing rush of feelings of aimlessness from the track’s opening riff, which arrives with an accompanying visual directed by Jason Peterson following EKKSTACY as a fading angel meandering through a bleak urban purgatory in search of a true partner.

Watch: Alta Falls Air Lyric Video For "Trust Me"

Brisbane electro pop/indie pop duo Alta Falls have aired a lyric video for their latest single "Trust Me".

The song is part of our current playlist and came out last month (May 5). Grab it here.

The lyrics for ‘Trust Me’ were inspired by a bittersweet trip to the 2017 AFL Grand Final: “My team, the Adelaide Crows, were in their first grand final after almost twenty years, and my hopes were riding high to achieve a childhood dream of watching them win a flag. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. And although it was a heartbreaking result there are still plenty of fond memories, including taking in the post-match The Killers concert along with the other half of Alta Falls, Matt.” – Nathanael, lead singer.
