The Burma Release "Hard To Say" Music Video

Irish indie rock band The Burma have released the video for their latest single "Hard To Say".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their their forthcoming album 'Sucker For Stars', which is set for release on the 14th of October via The Burma Music. Grab it here.

‘Hard to Say’ is an anthemic, young-hearted single that expresses the spirit of causeless rebellion and the invincibility of youth. Exchanging rules for raw excitement, thrashing riffs and hammering drums push to the limit. 

The Burma said: “We wrote ‘Hard to Say’ in our late teens/early twenties. There's youthful angst evident in the lyrics. Our love for this song is demonstrated by the fact that it made it on to our new album,  despite being a song from our formative years as a band. It's an explosive song that has never left our live set since the first time we played it.”

Northern Revelation Drop New Single/Video "Spread Yer Love"

From the band: Spread Yer Love is dedicated to the people who lost their lives at The Peterloo Massacre and all involved in the Trade Union movement.

The House Of Love Reveal New Single "Hey Babe"

UK indie/alt rock legends The House Of Love have revealed their new single "Hey Babe".

The song is taken from their long-awaited new album 'State Of Grace', which will be out on September 16th via Cherry Red Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Hey Babe is based on a poem written by Guy and is a song of hope and love. It is quintessential House Of Love and brings to mind somnolent late summer September days of changing moods and atmosphere. It features pedal steel guitar reminiscent of the Bob Dylan classic Lay Lady Lay. Guy's mesmerising vocal creates a hymn like ballad that draws the listener in close.

STEREOSKOP Unveil Music Video For "Under"

Spanish post punk/dream pop/synthwave duo STEREOSKOP have unveiled the video for their latest single “Under”.

The song (b/w “Yes But Not”), is taken from their latest album “Silk” which came out in April via Reptile Music. Get it here.

Once again Alex Brujas (Guitars, Synths & Drums) and Susana Egea (Vocals & Synths) show their talent for catchy tunes and atmospheric arrangements between driving synthwave rhythms and drifting dreampop guitars combined with a rich 80s touch. 

“Yes But Not” is brand new and proves impressively that the Spanish duo has just begun to explore its new direction in style and sound.

The Paranoyds Unleash New Single/Video "Freak Out"

L.A. punk/garage rock quartet The Paranoyds have unleashed a live video for their new single "Freak Out".

The song is taken from their new album 'Talk Talk Talk', out today Septmber 9th via Third Man Records. Get your copy here. 

"Freak Out" embodies an otherworldly, massive crush that is impossible to ignore, complete with call-and-response style vocals that reinforce it. The track ultimately inspired the title of the forthcoming album as it includes the words, "talk, talk, talk" several times throughout. Guitarist and vocalist Lexi Funston adds that the song is about, "having a big ol', out-of-control, teenage crush. There are flashes where you realize that you might be coming on a bit too strong, but they are BRIEF, and you continue to lose yourself to the obsession. You can’t help it!"

Its accompanying DIY video was shot over the course of December 2021 through May 2022 by Funston and friends. It peels back the curtain and documents the band in their most natural state, from the studio, to the stage and in the moment.

Sir-Vere Drop "Lovescope" Animate Video

Milton Keynes, UK post punk/electronic/alt band Sir-Vere have dropped an animated video for their newest single "Lovescope".

The song, b/w a House inspired S-VAS remix, will be out on Sept. 16, it was produced/mixed by Gary Morland & mastered by award winning Pete Maher and is the title track from the upcoming album being released on Bongo Tronic. It brings the next generation of SIR-VERE sound to life.  Pre-order it here.

It's a co-written track with Adrian Stranik of Broadway Twisters and is a modern Post Punk Indie Dance fuelled monster. Bringing Punk/Rock style vocals with a nod to Talking Heads  Fountaines D.C and Sleaford Mods, this new single has it all and was recorded during lockdown at City Slikker HQ.

The idea behind the track, circles around a spiritual awakening from many a late night in clubland, at the after party and gives you an idea where the upcoming album is going.

Floral Image Unleash New Single "El Topo"

Norwich, UK psych-indie-electronica-rock five-piece Floral Image have unleashed their new single "El Topo".

The song b/w  "Subpoena", is out now through Catch 21 Records. With their 3rd single, Floral Image have revealed their most explorative recording yet. El Topo, named after Alejandro Jodorowsky’s cult cinema classic, aims to place you on an epic audial journey through an imagined technicolour landscape that Jodorowsky himself would be proud of producing. Ever mutating, El Topo takes you higher with its pounding Psych-Rock whilst also bringing you back down to earth with passages of awe inspiring ambient soundscapes. 

 

A thumping crowd favourite at their already raucous live shows, El Topo stretches across your ears like a meandering psychedelic river. The single is accompanied by a live session video where you see the band demonstrating their tasteful knack of incorporating both the heavy and the intriguingly mysterious for their Jodorowsky inspired stomper.
