Isle of Wight indie rock/pop band Coach Party (formerly known as Jeph) have announced the release of their new EP ‘After Party’.
Set for release on 20th April via Chess Club Records, the EP features six tracks of pure peppy indie-pop perfection, including their new single "Everybody Hates Me". Pre-order your copy here.
Speaking about the single and video, vocalist Jess Eastwood says: “‘Everybody Hates Me’ isn’t a metaphor for anything; it’s literally about those times when you convince yourself that everyone, including your best friends don’t actually like you, and your self-confidence is so low that you don’t even blame them. Disguise that sentiment in an up-beat singalong, and there you have the third single from our new record. The video is a direct extension of the song. It swings between the insecurities of feeling like you’re not good enough amongst your friends, and the sense of unity you get from those same people when you finally wake up from your rut. Everyone feels that way from time to time, but you gotta remember that sometimes your irrational self is going to take over. And when it does, try to remember that you’re awesome, and your friends really are your friends.”

Speaking about it, lead singer/bassist Jess Eastwood says: "It’s all about being so in love with someone, that you start blowing off your friends to spend time with just them. However, there’s always that fight, where when you love someone so much, you also think of the possibility of suddenly ‘would you be ok without them?’ Then there’s the chorus of ‘does she even know you’re here’ - this is relating to a scenario where you’re with someone who’s already with someone else, and you’re always comparing yourself to them: ‘do I make you feel better’. Generally touching base on how complicated love is, and where your thoughts can spiral."

The song is out taken from their upcoming debut EP 'Party Food', set to arrive on June 12th via Chess Club Records. Pre-order it here.
Speaking about it, lead singer and bassist Jess Eastwood, explains: “Space’ is about the emotion of putting your feelings on the line and how tormenting someone can be when you break up. The control someone has over you when they know something you don’t want others to know.”

Isle of Wight indie rock band Jeph (now Coach Party) have released their new single "Oh Lola".
The song is out today (May 3) and is the first in a line of songs that the four-piece will be releasing over the course of 2019, with a debut EP scheduled for release late this year.
