ABout the song, the band explain: "Antidote" is about humans forgetting that we’re apes, it’s about trying to make sense out of something that we’d be better off not trying to make sense of. It’s about having infinite knowledge at our fingertips, but still making all the wrong choices over and over. It’s about trying to find a moment in your day where you can take a breath and remember that we’re basically all just animals bumbling around."

Preoccupations Announce New LP 'Preoccupations', Air "Anxiety"

Canadian post-punk band Preoccupations (formerly known as Viet Cong) have announced they will release their self-titled new album  on September 16 through Jagjaguwar.

The band have also shared the video for their first single "Anxiety", which is directed by Yoonha Park and described as "a catalog of childhood phobias and anxieties"sophomore album .

Calgary, Alberta art rock, post punk band Viet Cong have shared the video for their latest single "Silhouettes".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their self-titled debut LP, released yesterday (January 20) on Jagjaguwar + Flemish Eye in Canada. Get your copy here.

"Silhouettes" is a tripwire of a song, opening with an almost Joy Division-esque exposition and moving at breakneck speed -- frantic and pitch-black at a thousand miles an hour  -- until before you know it they are howling.
