The Faint Announce New LP 'Egowerk', Share "Child Asleep" Video

Omaha, Nebraska electro-punk outfit The Faint have announced the release of their new album titled 'Egowerk'.

The 11-track deep-dive into themes on modern society, the internet, and ego - specifically social media and its dark effects, it follows-on the 2016 compilation CAPSULE:1999-2016, and 2014's album Doom Abuse, and will be out on March 15 via Saddle Creek. Pre-order your copy here.

Despite The Faint’s nihilistic musings on Egowerk, vocalist Todd Fink and drummer Clark Baechle remain optimistic that things can improve if society is willing to absorb dueling perspectives. “The more you learn about any issue, any issue at all, the more you understand that it's more complicated than you think,” Fink says. “I'd like to see people less convinced that they're right about everything all the time. I guess I think we'll figure it out as time goes on.”

Omaha, Nebraska electro-punk outfit The Faint have announce they will release their compilation album 'CAPSULE:1999-2016' on September 30th via Saddle Creek.

Seventeen years ago, The Faint ushered in the return of synthesizers to the modern musical landscape with the release of 1999’s Blank-Wave Arcade. The world took note and the dance-rock movement of the early 00’s followed in its wake. In the ensuing years, the band’s consistent evolution cemented their status as one of the most forward thinking and influential forces in dance-rock.

The 2LP retrospective (also on CD & digital) out  It's not all old hits though, they have included their latest single "Young & Realistic" as well as a BONUS 7" with 2 more new songs "Skylab1979" (which you can listen below) and "ESP".
