New Entry: Olympic Ayres Return With New Single "Waiting"

Sydney DJ/producer duo Olympic Ayres (aka Kamaliza Salamba and Nathan Mifsud) have returned with their brand new single "Waiting".

The song will be out tomorrow (October 18) and is their first new material since 2014's EP Leisureplex.

The duo's words: “After returning from our hiatus we didn’t know where to begin but everything seemed to flow really quickly. This song was created during our first writing session back together in 4 years and it felt like the most natural progression from what we have released so far. Lyrically it’s about having to wait for something and what we learn, feel and experience in the process of patience.”

New Entry: Tiga Vs Boys Noize Unveil New Tune "100"

Electronic producers Tiga and Boys Noize have unveiled the infectious tune "100", their first studio collaboration.

From their early days as label-mates on the legendary Gigolo records, these two dons have remixed each other, DJ'd back-to-back, even worked on the same motion picture together (Ivory Tower), but this is the first time they've worked as a unit in the studio.

The single will be out on May 31 via Turbo Recordings and ca be pre-ordered here. The second track, "808 IRAQ", which is taken from the same Berlin studio-session, will be released on BNR soon.

New York/Vienna based musician//DJ/producer Wolfram, formerly known as marfloW and Diskokaine, has unleashed his new single "Can't Remember".

The AA-side Can't Remember / Talking To You (Feat. Andrew Butler) was released in May last year via DFA Records. Get it here.

About the tune, Wolfram said: "i started to record the track "can't remember" when i was in africa and some riots happened in egypt in 2013. it was a weird time so it turned out to be a dark tune with some wannabe robotic vocals."

London based electronic DJ/producer Marcus Marr has dropped the video for his new single "Brown Sauce".

The single is out today (January 20) b/w "Peacemakers" via DFA Records. Get the single here.

About the track Marcus says: "Depending on the vibe of the night, if you come and see me DJ it's likely you’re going to hear some futuristic music, as well as some disco, house and so on. I want people to be warned about that so I made 'Brown Sauce'. I've been playing it all over the place for a good while now and it never lets me down."

Watch: Todd Terje Releases New Video For "Delorean Dynamite"

Norwegian DJ/producer Todd Terje has released the video for "Delorean Dynamite."

The track is taken from his latest record 'It's Album Time', released back in April via Olsen Records. Grab your copy here if you haven't already. 

The video, directed by Espen Friberg, features visuals of a real advertisement for a 1981 Delorean DMC-12, which is actually for sale. The seller of the car, whose name is Frank, used the following description in a press release:

"The world most iconic movie car could be yours! The time machine from the "Back to the future" movies, is an very rare and truly special American (produced in northern Ireland) sports car that always turns heads. It's over 30 years old, which means very low road taxes and insurance. The Delorean DMC-12 was only produced in the short timespan of 1981 to 1983 and is recognized for its wing-doors and stainless steel engine. The chassis was developed by Colin Chapman and the engine was designed by Giorgio Guigiaro. This car was bought brand new in the US in 1989, has had only 3 owners and has been extremely rarely used. It was imported to Norway in 2011 and has only had one owner since. The original paperwork and documentation from Carfax comes with the car.

If you are looking for an iconic sports car and a solid collector's item with a unique story, then this is the car for you!! Do send me a mail for a cosy chat about cars!"

Sydney producer/DJ duo Olympic Ayres (aka Kamaliza Salamba and Nathan Mifsud) have premiered  a kaleidoscopic video for their latest single "Control".

The song was featured as Single of the Week on June 16 here on Kool Rock Radio and is taken from their forthcoming debut EP 'Leisureplex', which will be out on September 17. Get the single here.

About the video, Nathan Mifsud explained: "We wanted something colourful and visually exciting; that meant kaleidoscopes, ink projection, LED lighting and the ability to experiment with green screens. We spent months referencing inspiration on a shared mood board. The narrative was led by the director Alexander Leeway and his awesome crew who did a great job of capturing the old favourite 'girl meets boy.' We’re really happy with how it turned out so hopefully everyone enjoys!" (via Nylon)

Single Of The Week June 16/2014: Olympic Ayres "Control"

This week's Single of the Week on Kool Rock Radio is "Control" by Sydney producer/DJ duo Olympic Ayres (aka Kamaliza Salamba and Nathan Mifsud).

Formed in 2011, the Aussie pair began making music in the bedroom, and landed themselves a gig at the 2013 Sydney’s Field Day alongside some of Australia's latest heavyweights like Clubfeet, Panama and World's End Press.

The song have a really infectious vibe and is the second single taken from their debut EP "Leisureplex" due for release Sept 17th (US) Sept 18th (AUS). The first single was the also infectious "Take Flight", released early this year.
