The Welsh language track, “NYCAW” (Nid yw Cymru ar Werth - Wales is not for Sale) widens the frame outward from the personal to the collective, condemning the urgent crisis caused by second home ownership in Wales, denouncing the neoliberal marketing of place that is shattering communities and exploiting cultures.

Tresor reveals an introspective focus on home and self, a prescient work echoing the isolation and retreat that has been a central, global shared experience over the past two years.

On Tresor, Gwenno shifts focus from the external to the internal, exposing the walls of gems hidden within the caves. Inspired by powerful woman writers and artists such as Ithell Colquhoun, the Cornish language poet Phoebe Proctor, Maya Deren and Monica Sjöö, Tresor is an intimate view of the feminine interior experience, of domesticity and desire, a rare glimmer of life lived in and expressed through Cornish.

Brisbane electro pop/indie pop duo Alta Falls have aired a lyric video for their latest single "Trust Me".

The song is part of our current playlist and came out last month (May 5). Grab it here.

The lyrics for ‘Trust Me’ were inspired by a bittersweet trip to the 2017 AFL Grand Final: “My team, the Adelaide Crows, were in their first grand final after almost twenty years, and my hopes were riding high to achieve a childhood dream of watching them win a flag. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. And although it was a heartbreaking result there are still plenty of fond memories, including taking in the post-match The Killers concert along with the other half of Alta Falls, Matt.” – Nathanael, lead singer.

From Luna: You can call this album “Immortal” or “I’m mortal”, the idea of the title (Im)mortal is that both ways apply, there is no right or wrong way.

Since I was a kid, I always struggled with the concept of mortality, not as a body, but as a person, as an artist. Once I started studying the lives of long gone artists I realized they were still alive, through their art. I believe art transcends human life.

This album touches that, and many emotions that I’ve felt throughout the past year (and really, ever in my human life). This is me, uncensored. Me sad, me happy, me angry, me in love, me losing hope, me gaining hope, the many parts of me, as a human being, as an artist, every part that hopes to live through my art, and past my human body.

And per usual, I want you to dance with me, dance until you drop, babes!
