She's In Parties Release New Single/Video "Cherish"

Essex-based dreampop/shoegaze band She's In Parties have released the video for their dreamy new single "Cherish".

Speaking about ‘Cherish’, frontperson Katie Dillon explains:

“At the time ‘Cherish’ was written I was going through some weird times in my relationship, I was never good at communicating my feelings and so things would just build up, at the same time though, neither was he. We were young going into it, not that it was a bad thing, but we were growing up together and learning so much about ourselves and each other.

What I write in this song mainly suggests to myself, at the time, to cherish the love that we have for each other because ultimately there was too much love and memories and history there to just let it
all go.

I hope people will feel uplifted when listening to this song. Cherish the love always because someday that person might go away".

New Entry: Bella Lune "Up The Down Escalator (The Chameleons Cover)"

Phoenix, AZ dreampop/darkwave band & dark alternative DJ duo Bella Lune have dropped their cover version of  The Chameleons classic "Up The Down Escalator".

From the band: "This song, originally by The Chameleons in 1983, is so ahead of it's time lyrically, and very appropriate for the times that we are living in now. Our version was initially released on the 2021 Stranger Times tribute album by Coitus Interruptus Productions, featuring Bestial Mouths, Sol Sirenn, and many other talented artists. Mark Burgess of The Chameleons said "Wow Escalator is GREAT". This particular version was remixed for official release in 2022 by Fuchsia and Hurley. We hope you enjoy it!"

Watch: She's In Parties Release New Single/Video "Angelic"

Essex-based dreampop/shoegaze band
She's In Parties have released the video for their dreamy new single "Angelic".

Speaking about it, lead singer Katie Dillon says: “I started with a melody, and as I was singing, the lyrics were just sort of coming out. Usually this happens because there is a theme going on in my life or others around me. I started with the lyric 'my soul’s washed away on this planet', and then 'lucky for you, you’re so manly' and it started to become a song about how women can be disrespected and treated quite badly...”

New Entry: Pleasure Centre Share New Single "Blue(Bertha)"

Scarborough,North Yorkshire dreampop/shoegaze band Pleasure Centre have shared their new single "Blue(Bertha)".

Speaking about it, the band said: "'Bertha' is about our friend’s car, it’s a little blue Ford Fiesta that we drove about North Yorkshire to go to friends’ houses or parties and everything in between.

Charlie came up with the guitar riff and some sort of chord progression and then Aneela fitted some lyrics. Then Charlie made a demo and the whole band started adding to that then we took it to Young Thugs in York and did it properly.

Honestly, the topic came from another band ‘The Chalets’ which Charlie is a part of and we thought every band should write a song about this car as it’s really the object that supported our happiness last year when the world seemed to stop.

It is a song we feel is heading in our own direction finally after a year of trying to make original music and expresses part of us and the topics we want to get out through our music."

FFO: Slowdive, BDRMM, My Bloody Valentine, The Cure, The Smiths, Nirvana
