The record investigates personal narratives around growth, loss, regret, and renewal. Sonically, the group's sound also explores a more aggressive, forward-leaning approach, wherein vocalist/guitarist Mike Lee elected to break the shoegaze/indiepop hermetic shield of synths and filtering.
