Watch: The Pleasure Dome Unveil New Single/Video "Pretty Picture"

Bristol punk/alt band The Pleasure Dome have unveiled the video for their punchy new single "Pretty Picture".

The song, produced by Theo Verney, is out today (May 11). Get it here.

Speaking about it, singer and guitarist Bobby Spender says that “self love is important. It’s important for our mental health, our relationships and even to our dreams and ambitions. Sometimes you wonder if anyone will love you, first love yourself. 'Pretty Picture' is inspired by everything from the nursery rhyme, 'Mary Mary Quite Contrary' to Show Me The Body, Metronomy's album 'Nights Out' and The Beatles the song 'Taxman' - it presents the idea of people's desire to share their lives on social media, with their superficial sand castles soon lost to the scrolling tide."

The video was shot on location at Strange Brew in Bristol, Ashton Gate, Southville, Hotwells and College Green. Watch it below.

Watch: Seasurfer Air Music Video For "Pretend"

Hamburg noise pop/dream punk/shoegaze band Seasurfer have aired the video for their latest single "Pretend".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their album 'Zombies', which came out in December 2020 through Reptile Music. Get your copy here.

Songstress Apolonia explains: “It’s one of my favourites. Humans ‘pretend’ all the time – sometimes unconsciously, sometimes not. Playing make-belief, behaving one way, yet feeling the opposite. In relationships, in politics for imaginary excitement or simply survival. There was something hypnotic about Dirk’s first instrumental version that caught me immediately, so the words shot straight out of me. I love when that happens: when the music, the lyrics and later the visuals become one. The video director JH Rochereuil also understood the atmosphere of the song perfectly.”

New Entry: Oscar Lang Releases New Single "Are You Happy?"

London-based indie/alternative artist Oscar Lang has released his new single "Are You Happy?".

The song is taken from his forthcoming debut album 'Chew The Scenery', which will be available on 16th July through Dirty Hit. Pre-order your copy here.

Speaking about it Lang says: “I wrote this tune about a mate that was having a really hard time and I wanted to let them know that I was there for them. I think it’s important to reach out to friends and family when they’re not doing great. It can be hard though, trying not to be too overbearing but I feel like this song is a great way of telling someone that you care about them.”
