According to frontman Stuart Murdoch “The song touched on the themes of karma and reincarnation. In the clip a woman journeys through her life ‘seeing’ people’s karma. She sees what they are and what they will become. She sees people who are doing well, who are gods in this life. ‘Just because you’ve got the high ground/Doesn’t mean you have the most fun.’ She imagines them transform into different life forms, even into walking ghosts. Conversely, she sees some who are destitute and alone. She sees them transforming into enlightened people. Finally, she imagines her own future, shrouded in cloud and mystery.”
Melbourne punk power trio CLAMM have premiered the video for their new single "Monday".
The song is taken from the band's forthcoming sophomore album 'CARE', set to arrive on August 19th via Meat Machine (Crack Cloud, N0V3L). Pre-order your copy here.
The band's music was already concerned with the woes of the world, but the last two years have added extra urgency to their blown-out, dystopian punk power. They continue to be a clarion call for a generation facing an age of uncertainty, using a powerful brand of bracing punk to deliver a soundtrack for the evicted souls of modern convention.
The band say of the track: "Monday talks about the frustrations of working a job that you feel consumes your life and gives you little reward. It's a dig at those in charge who seem to reap all the benefits without putting in the work. It's about recognising the inequity in certain aspects of the nation."

On the track, vocalist Parks says: "The dream for everyone is more. More money. More time. More everything and anything. We never get enough of enough. Our sole purpose seems to be chasing the satisfaction that never comes. So we work for our piece of the cake that pays for a home we’re only at when we’re asleep. Every day. Every week the same thing; a dream you have to be asleep to believe. Then you wake and wonder, 'why?'"

My Raining Stars was formed by Thierry Haliniak as a solo project in 1998. Being raised by much of the music of those times, especially influenced by the legendary c86 era and bands from Creation and Sarah Records, Thierry has a knack of writing classic pop songs.

San Francisco-based psychedelic/rock band The Asteroid No.4 have shared the video for their latest single "Transmission".
The song is taken from their eleventh studio album 'Tones of the Sparrow', which came out in March this year via Club AC30. Grab your copy here.
The Asteroid No.4 have never shied away from wearing their influences squarely on their sleeves but with Tones of the Sparrow, the band edge towards the more psychedelic side of the genre. "It's all guitar rock and more specifically, it's all psychedelic rock, and we have a tendency to move around within that. At the end of the day, we just write a batch of songs and depending on where we are in our heads, lives, etc., sometimes they vary greatly and other times there is a much stronger cohesiveness among them."
