The song is part of our current playlist and is out now. Get it here.

Speaking about it, the duo explain: "The track delves into how people want to feel special and the pursuit of that feeling. I think everyone has a strange thought process around needing to feel important, almost a case of not caring what people think of you as long as it’s you they’re thinking of. As people in general, we have a very precarious sense of self.”

New Entry: Gardening Share New Song "Never Going Back Again"

London indie rock/lo-fi/alt band Gardening (formerly known as Mirror Shot) have shared their new song "Never Going Back Again".

This is the twelfth track from their lockdown demo series, written in November 2020.

"I had a major dry spell of finishing absolutely nothing worthwhile for months, broken by this track, so I feel sort of indebted to it. It was a lot of work to record, though I seem to remember it coming together really quickly. It's only three minutes long but there's a lot of stuff going on (including glockenspiel, dulcimer, backwards crashes, Beach House organ, noise, a LinnDrum, and about 10 guitars tuned to DADGAD). I confess to consequently being bitten by the glockenspiel bug - I just can't stop busting out the glockenspiels now."

New Entry: De Lux Drop New Single "Some Things Never Break"

Los Angeles based post-disco, dance-punk duo De Lux have dropped their new single "Some Things Never Break".

The song is taken from their upcoming EP 'Uneven', set to arrive on April 23 via Innovative Leisure. Pre-order it here.

"Something’s Never Break" is about old habits dying hard. The lyrics tow the line between earnestness and irony throughout the song, making you wonder if they’re sung with a wink or a nod. The band’s special brand of cheeky social commentary rewards the listener with some of their best one liners: “I hope one day/I can make enough money/So I can have an opinion/And I don't have to fake it.”

It’s got a trance inducing off kilter synth intro and guitars that sound like they’re melting in slow motion as Sean Guerin puts on a character that sounds like an extension of the sort of musical theatre he performed in past songs like "Oh Man the Future" and "Music Snob." While his character can’t seem to change his life, the song might change yours.
