Liverpool indie pop/dream pop/jangle band SPINN have unveiled their summery new single "Home".
About the track, singer Jonathon Quinn explains: “This one’s probably our most shallow track. We went out to create a pop tune with not much meaning behind it, which is different to our other stuff, which usually has some kind of message or secret meaning. You could probably over analyse it if you really wanted to, and hail it as an homage to house party romances or a love letter. But, to be honest it’s just meant to be something that’s good for the ears.”
The song will be released on 3rd March. Stream it below.

"Kill Your Mark has been, since we first played, our most cinematic song. During the recording was acquiring a filmstrip of monsters and flying saucers, of film from B serie or Z. The end only asked for a speech, and the queen of the genre PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE (1956) By Ed Wood, came to mind. Later we decided that the video was also with fragments of this audiovisual jewel." The band explained.

The follow-up to 2013's self-titled debut album will be out on May 5, and is the result of the band’s collaboration with their old friend Ben Garrett who, under the artist name Fryars, masterminded his own remarkable 2014 album ‘Power’ and has also collaborated with artists such as Lily Allen and Mika.
"Without getting too philosophical, you're always looking for stories and meanings in the blank space of life," says Miles Haughton. "Lots of the songs are about the start of relationships, the start of things, reading meaning into things, trying to find the stories."
The band are also streaming their new single "I'll Do Anything", which "is about feeling a connection with someone when they've got a boyfriend," says Miles. "It's nice to write a song from the point of view of a villain."

24 hours after you heard the first new material from Ride in over twenty years, here's their hypnotic new song "Home Is A Feeling".
The song is taken from their forthcoming new album, due to be released Summer 2017 on Wichita Recordings.
About the track, Mark Gardener says: "‘Home Is A Feeling’ to me is like a slow, wide-screen, sonically, layered, slowed motion warm wash. Like returning home as dawn rises totally exhausted and spangled after a long ..long ...big, great night out’"
Andy Bell says: “Out of all the new songs ‘Home Is A Feeling’ comes closest to the early Ride sound. We felt comfortable going vintage on this tune because the album we are making has a pretty broad sonic scope. It’s a short and sweet, melodic tune, with stacked harmonies, reverbed-out guitars, slowed down drums, and a huge distorted bass sound. Erol put his sage-scented electronic wizards hat on to sample up some of our harmonies and make them into a synthesiser preset, which we ended up using on this and some of the other tunes too. We wanted this song to sound jet lagged, so everything on it was recorded with varispeed, either faster or slower than real time. It’s like 1966 Beatles meets 1988 MBV… in other words, Ride.”
London's neo-psych band Temples have revealed the video for their newest single "Strange Or Be Forgotten".

The song is taken from Ride's forthcoming album, produced by Erol Alkan and mixed by the band's longtime collaborator, Alan Moulder, and due to be released Summer 2017 on Wichita Recordings.
UPDATE 27/02: "Charm Assault" is our new Single of the Week!
About the track, Andy Bell says: "Charm Assault is a pretty straightforward expression of frustration and disgust at the people who currently run our country. The tour in 2015 was a good way of reminding us what we were good at in the first place and Charm Assault feels like a natural continuation from our peak. When we started writing together again we tried to imagine we'd kept on making music all this time, and this was just the latest one."
The band's last full-length record was 'Tarantula', released back in March 1996. The band broke up later that year. After a brief reconciliation in 2001 for a live televised performance, Ride officially reunited in 2014.

About the track, band's vocalist Spencer White explains: "Holy Gun is another story I wanted to tell. I find the deeper I dig, the more I realise how much depth and endless complexity there is to making music that stirs and engages me."

About the track, bassist Luke Morgan said: "We recorded this track ourselves at our lock up in one all-nighter. We wanted to go for a DIY approach to it and wanted to mix our lofi and huge sounding influences to fit the style of the song.”
“We were inspired to self-produce by bands like Pavement and The Smiths doing the same at points in their careers, but musically speaking, and in the way the song was written, ‘Such A Drag’ is the lovechild of Lou Reed and George Harrison.”
