New Entry: Snapped Ankles Release "NSA Man" (A violation of The Fugs CIA Man)

East London art wave/post punk/krautrock band Snapped Ankles have released "NSA Man", their take on The Fugs 1965's counterculture anthem "CIA Man", updated for the Edward Snowden generation.

About the song, the band said: "Having unearthed The Fugs' 'CIA Man' some years before, we were shocked to discover a newer, more sinister agency had taken over from the diatribe's protagonist, so we updated Tuli Kupferberg's list of ills...

"Of course every time the song is now mentioned online, a blip of data triggers a filter that enters a file that rings a bell in a bunker deep under a mountain in Pennsylvania. So now the forest is full of agents looking for us, and we are taping up our microphones and cameras and walking backwards through our own footprints to shake them off..."

Blossoms Announce New LP 'Cool Like You', Stream "I Can't Stand It"

Manchester indie rock/psych pop band Blossoms have announced the release of their new album titled 'Cool Like You'.

The follow up to their 2016's eponymous debut Blossoms, will be released on Friday 27th April on Virgin EMI, and features their brand new single "I Can't Stand It".

UPDATE 05/03/2018: "I Can't Stand It" is our new Single of the Week!

About the song, frontman Tom Ogden explains: "is inspired in part by Michel Gondry's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's a song about desperately wanting to forget about someone, but you can't because they're a part of you - and how that can be unbearable. Spotless Mind is about wanting to erase someone from your thoughts - to forget they even existed - and that feeds into the lyrics. It's a very literal song in many ways."
