New Entry: Manics Unleash New Single "Make Out Room"

San Francisco indie dance/nu disco duo Manics have unleashed their new single "Make Out Room".

The song is out tomorrow (October 17), and "pays homage to the San Francisco’s Mission District dive club of the same name. Reminiscent of Holy Ghost!, The Rapture and LCD Soundsystem, the track is a disco dance-punk cut that captures the energy and dysfunction of the scenes inside small clubs around the world. 'Make Out Room' is filled with stiff drinks, destructive lovers, bad drugs and too many characters acting out."

New Entry: Olympic Ayres Return With New Single "Waiting"

Sydney DJ/producer duo Olympic Ayres (aka Kamaliza Salamba and Nathan Mifsud) have returned with their brand new single "Waiting".

The song will be out tomorrow (October 18) and is their first new material since 2014's EP Leisureplex.

The duo's words: “After returning from our hiatus we didn’t know where to begin but everything seemed to flow really quickly. This song was created during our first writing session back together in 4 years and it felt like the most natural progression from what we have released so far. Lyrically it’s about having to wait for something and what we learn, feel and experience in the process of patience.”

New Entry: Two Tribes Premiere New Single "Videodrone"

London synth/psych quartet Two Tribes have premiered their 7-minute new single "Videodrone".

The song, was produced by Oli Bayston (Teleman, Honeyblood, Spiritualized, Boxed In), is out now and follows their debut single “Zone.”

UPDATE 21/10/2019: "Videodrone" is our new Single of the Week!

Speaking about it, the band say: “Videodrone” deals with how the idea of a digital identity, over-stimulation from technology and the internet can perpetuate disillusion and desensitization in the real world. For some of us, the amount of information available can be a difficult thing to process sometimes, we wanted to explore in this song that increasingly blurred line between mind and mechanism. The title takes inspiration from David Cronenberg’s 1983 film Videodrome, which carries similar themes about the cult of technology."
