UK Producer/Remixer/DJ Neil Parnell aka Tronik Youth's new band Permanent Wave have revealed their infectious cover version of Iggy Pop's "Sister Midnight".
"The devil comes in many disguises, and her bearded and bespectacled beelzebub had entranced her with the delirious base sounds of the night people; those that revelled in the din and the sin of those immoral rhythms and guilty guttural urges and a quest for carnality..."
Their debut album will be released at some point in 2016!
The track will be released on the 7th of December. Stream it below.
Virginia based singer/songwriter Jack Tatum aka Wild Nothing has announced his new album 'Life of Pause' will be release on 19th February via Captured Tracks.
About the follow-up to 2012's full-length 'Nocturne', Tatum says:
"I desperately wanted for this to be the kind of record that would displace me. I’m terrified by the idea of being any one thing, or being of any one genre. And whether or not I accomplish that, I know that my only hope of getting there is to constantly reinvent. That reinvention doesn’t need to be drastic, but every new record has to have it’s own identity, and it has to have a separate set of goals from what came before."

Manchester post punk, noir pop band PINS have unveiled the video their newest single "Got It Bad".
The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their sophomore album 'Wild Nights', released in June via Bella Union. Buy your copy here.
"The song is wonderfully melancholic but its also, essentially, a love song so I wanted this to reflect in the way it was shot - dipping in and out of focus constantly, blurry lights, handheld camera - almost ‘drunk’ in a way. Drunk in love." Sarah Jenny Johnson
The video was shot on a freezing Friday night in October in and around the Northern Quarter and Ancoats in Manchester.
After a five year hiatus, Liverpool legends The Coral are back with new album 'Distance Inbetween', set for release on March 4th.
According to frontman James Skelly, the follow-up to 2010's 'Butterfly House', is more "minimal and rhythmical".
"Before we started making the album we had discussed that we wanted it to be more minimal and rhythmical. We thought if you've got a rhythm section thats been playing together for almost twenty years, why not make that the centre of the songs?". He said

Manchester legends James have announced they will release their 14th studio album titled 'Girl At The End Of The World', on 18th March through BMG Recordings.
The follow-up to last year's 'La Petite Mort', sees the band team with producer Max Dingel (The Killers, Muse, White Lies) with the legendary Brian Eno infusing his unique influence into the blend. The new album is both anthemic and euphoric, with it’s simmering electronica continuing James’ long connection to the dance floor. The band’s trademark songwriting and Tim Booth’s distinctive vocal & evocative lyrics prove once again to be amongst Britain’s finest.
About he making of the record, Tim Booth says:
“Bands talk about that difficult second album but it’s the trickster 14th one that’s the real M*&^%R F&%$#R. As always with James it’s a collaborative process allowing ample room for improvisation, intuition, skill and dumb luck. From the outside our process looks like chaos but chaos is our friend and we have a history that gives us confidence that something magical will eventually appear. Most of my best lyrics are unconscious typos so don¹t ask me what it’s about; your projection is as good as mine. This was perhaps the most difficult and stressful album we have ever made. I hope you find it as rewarding as we do. OYSTER- GRIT-PEARL.”
